Observation details
Saw it first in the tree out side my window. It went to the suet feeder. It is small olive in color, wing bars and an eye ring. I checked the head for the ruby color and the yellow and it had neither. So must be migrating through because they do not stay the winter in southwest Iowa. We do see the golden-crowned kinglets on the Christmas bird count. I will try to get a pic, it has been here for 2 days.
