Observation details
Continuing. Male Goldeneye. More black on back than Common Goldeneye. Black spur in white flanks and tear drop shaped white dot on face. Seen in Tom Cassaro’s scope. Distant in front of grass that meets the slope. Re-found by Joshua Mitchell, originally found by Mike Simon. After reviewing my photos, I found one to confirm my ID while looking at the gulls. Tgis was before the distant view in the scope sighting. Last photo is when I first saw the diving duck.
