Observation details
First reported by Paul Seaman yesterday. Spotted alone as it flew directly over us on the southern end of Crane Beach which gave great views. Thick white eye arcs were noticeable when it flew over as well as the wingtips which had less black and more white than a Laughing Gull. Eventually landed in a large Bonaparte’s flock on the beach on the other side of the water. Slightly larger than the Bonaparte’s with a slightly darker back. Too far for identifiable photos but would occasionally raise wings or fly which gave more views of its unique wing tips.
