Single bird as recently reported in gull flock, juvenile bird with moderately heavy black bill, dark eye, overall salt and pepper plumage with finely marked detail on upper back and tertials, primary tips dark brown in resting bird with mostly pale underwings and darker primary tips in flight, darkish secondaries in flight, pink legs, Slightly bigger than associated ring-billed gulls.
