Observation details

Found by Alex A. yesterday. I saw it here at 0925: 32.86651,-117.19882. Calling frequently while foraging on the ground along the dry and weedy little ditch, close to two concrete picnic tables. Very active but looks a little ragged. Confiding, came right up close to where I stood, at one point. It did go to the Chinese Elms, but a crowd has set up for volley ball there, with loud music. Still, you could look at the ground along the little ditch, and the nearby trees. I saw it very early on l, maybe at 0830, up in a Tipu a few yards north of the dumpsters near here, wet to the skin and almost unrecognizable. So it seems to be staying close. Ph.
