Observation details
Low-quality photos for ID purposes. Large, pale cranes with long legs, red crowns, and dark-tipped primaries. The birds flew parallel to the treeline on the northern edge of the field, and then moved almost directly over the group standing on the road, and continued south. They offered us all an unobstructed and close view, which aided in their identification.
