Observation details

*Rare; late and quite unexpected, though one of the hardier fall migrants in the NE. 3rd Dec-Fevb. record for Hammo in eBird, and one of ~10 for NH Co. Vibrant bird inconspicuously scouring the junipers near Swan Pond, making it surprisingly difficult to stay on. Noticed first by OKR, and then seen well by us all. Cassin's, however improbable, was carefully ruled out just in case. Infrequently calling, a harsh, repeated, five-part chattering.
