Observation details
Found this morning by Cole Foster. Adult male warbler with gray back, white underparts, thick black streaks on flanks, black head with white moustachial and superciliary stripes, yellow loral spot, small dark gray bill. I did not observe tail/rear area very well. Last seen at (45.2194822, -93.4482194) at approximately 4:26pm and did not refind before dark. Similar species such as BAWW and YRWA ruled out by combination of gray back, facial pattern, and yellow loral spot, among other things. Viewed for approximately 3-4 minutes at a distance of 5-10 yards in dense brush, giving brief but diagnostic views. Overcast and drizzly weather. This represents Minnesota's 11th state record and the 1st November record. First record for Anoka County.
