Observation details
Seen in huge numbers. The black patch on side of breasts with extensive orange below the black patch which in some individual is seen till lower breasts. The orangish patch was variable in each individual. Could this be a mixed flock of Greater Short-toed Lark and Mongolian Short-toed Lark. I am not sure if these features are conclusive of a Mongolian but these features are also not found in Greater Short-toed Lark. Experts comment is must to acertain the species.
