Observation details

Known to associate with flocks of White-crowned Sparrows and or Yellow-rumps so we checked each flock we found. Previous sitings haad placed this bird in folowing locations: between units 400-900, near the pool, near the stables. We kept returning to a flock on a lawn between units 400 and 500. Where heavy construction equiptment was working on a ditch, with the birds flushing regulalry. Dove was found in the shadow under the oleander hedge, before it emerged onto the lawn. A bench near the pool gave great viewing position of the grey headed dove with faint eye ring and red eyes. contrasting with reddish brown body and tail, interupted by grey splotches. Wings are marked with dots and dashes that form lines. Male.
