Observation details

NB 1; Observed an individual working on the same nest structure that was recorded on 10 December. There was no reliable way to determine whether this was the same bird as previously observed, but the nest itself was clearly the same one under construction. Rain in the early morning yesterday meant I was unable to observe any activity during the typical dawn period, but today I was able to confirm active nest-building. One individual was seen carrying three sticks in succession to the nest. Immediately afterwards, the bird became engaged in a prolonged altercation with a nearby Large-billed Crow, with both birds showing clear aggressive behaviour.
