Observation details
1st year bird. Size of small AHGU, bill small and all black, upperside of flight feathers pale buffy tan, with outer webs of primaries slightly darker than inner webs (at least on P7-10) but still did not appear darker than dark barring on upperwing coverts and on upper-and undertail coverts; tertials with some checkered patterning. So, not dark enough for thayeri.
