Observation details

Bright breeding male found by Michael Moore today. Viewable by scope from the boat launch area. Will attach bad digiscoped photos. Very hard to keep track of-regularly feeding in and out of a large flock of Northern Shovelers and American Coots. It is smaller than the Northern Shovelers and will associate with them often on the edge of the American Coots, but will feed heavily in a tight group, making it basically impossible to see. Briefly had eyes on it multiple times over a 25-minute period, albeit brief, until a Bald Eagle flew over and flushed all of the ducks in the flock, which picked up and landed in the private inholding section of the impoundment.
