Media notes

A banded dotterel moving along the river's edge foraging (first segment of the clip) then travelling upstream along the river's edge (second segment of the clip). Calls are fairly intermittent, especially in the second segment. Background birds include blackbird, silvereye, fantail, tui, song thrush, ring-necked pheasant. Flowing water, traffic in the background as well.

Observation details

Includes a chick. Not certain of total number of adults, there may have been more - hard to count with them coming and going all the time
