Observation details
eBird flagged as rare. Around 29.51537366, -82.31182544. I put the scope on some blackbirds in a snaggy tree, and noticed one with a very light-colored eye. It was the same size as the Red-wings, without the long tail or large bill of a Common Grackle. As it moved around a little I could see that it was not jet black, but had quite a bit of brown on the back. I attach a poor picture - the bird looks more gray here than it did in life. Male Red-winged Blackbird on the left in the photo.
