Male was captured and banded as part of Texas Parks & Wildlife Dept's Loggerhead Shrike research project with all required federal and state permits.
Observation details
Banded male perched in tree near tennis courts. One unbanded male was captured and banded as part of Texas Parks & Wildlife Dept's Loggerhead Shrike research project with all required federal and state permits. Another unbanded bird hovered over the trap but did not enter. It caught several insects as we waited.
