Observation details
Apparently found in the 11th Street garage on Monday evening and seen flying away from the garage, word reached Andrew Baldelli this morning via a rehabber that one might still be in the area. Steve Myers was at Rudee Inlet and refound the bird behind the Dolphin Run Inn hunting in the grass strip between the building and the boardwalk bike path. I arrived quickly and Steve told me the bird just jumped into a storm drain inlet, so we peaked through the throat (where rain enters) and sure enough, it was sitting against the back wall inside the drain in clear view but out of the brutal winds. Cell phone (without flash) photo. I'm told the owl was picked up by a rehabber at 1:23 PM.
