Observation details
This bird seems to show a slight grin patch. The bill also seems elongated slightly to me, and with a bit of a droop at the tip. Jay Sheppard, retired ornithologist with USFWS adds these notes after I shared my photos: "I think it is an F2 hybrid. Backcross of an F1 Snow X Ross' with a Ross'. Besides the characters you noted, I see the bill-head slope as too much like a Snow rather than the abruptanglewith the smaller Ross' bill." Second photo with first winter Snow Goose.
