Observation details

Observations indicate that two of the eleven Oriental Magpies were already engaged in nest construction, carrying twigs to the same tree from as early as 8 December 2025. As the species typically begins nest-building in January to February, this behaviour suggests an quite early onset of the breeding cycle. Such early activity may reflect individual variation, local environmental influences, or favourable conditions encouraging an advanced start to nest preparation.
