Observation details
Call at 3 seconds and again at 28.5 s. Response sounds in plastic stage not as polished. A complex flight/contact call heard many times by several individuals. A lyrical, buzzy and lengthy call. Call begins with quick frequency modulation (buzz) I believe there perhaps is evidence of nonlinear phenomena (irregularities in the vibration of vocal folds in syrinx) that can cause the sound to be rough...maybe showing as bi-phonation (two independent voices, polyphony...vocal folds that are not synchronized and are vibrating at two different frequencies) and side banding/subharmonics. The 2nd audio is the same call slowed to 0.070 x and makes it easier for us to hear the frequency modulations and complexity of this flight call.
