Observation details

Wow!! What a surprise! Feeding on my porch with golden-crown sparrows for 10-15 minutes. Let me observe from 10 ft away while it picked through the seed. Calling. Recording & Photos. Edit. Whoa! 2nd county record and first time since 1973 I think? Looks like this might be a 1st winter individual. Large sparrow with long tail, pinkish orange bill, white belly, partially black crown/face/breast, brown in the face.

Additional species

  • Common Raven Corvus corax
