Observation details
Continuing bird found earlier this morning by John Bruin, seen with many observers. A typical solitary type vireo with a bluish-gray head, yellow-olive sides, and greenish wings and back. Much brighter than Plumbeous. Extremely similar to a bright Cassin’s, so similar in fact that the ID of this bird was not determined until a bit later in the day. Apparently the brighter and more extensive yellow-olive color to the sides and extensive white edging on the outer tail feathers point to this bird being a Blue-headed. Seen around the north end of the park here (32.7325026, -117.1091392). Photos TBA
