Observation details
Male and female observed in the Outer Bolsa Bay just beyond the tidal gates. Larger than nearby LESC, with rounder heads peaked towards the front, wider bills with large nails, and fatter, protruding cheeks when viewed head on. Male with extensive white on the flanks, and less heavy barring on the back.
