Observation details

Continuing… took about 10 minutes for the greater peewee to vocalize, and did it ever. Size makes a difference when it comes to projection and GRPE’s got it. Located it fairly high in the tree tops, sallying among open branches on North side of parking lot (34.17665, -117.98933). Call, long bill with bright orange lower mandible, faint yellow belly, and overall size are spot on. Pictures and an audio clip—featuring bonus vocals by YRWA and pissy RTHA—attached. Bird will go quiet for 10 minutes or so and stay still, before resuming vocalizing and eating.
