Observation details
We joined the Marantz, Grubb, Waggoner group who had the jay localized in the scrub forest near33.6935321, -114.5107163. Subsequently, we observed in several times as we surveyed north along the river road. A pale, faded version of WSJA that lacks stronger contrasts between analogous color blocks on WSJA. Pale blue diffusion on undertail coverts; very weak demarcation between broad, dingy whitish throat and bid, and pale gray breast and underparts. Paler blue on head than and shorter white supercillium than in WSJA; back paler gray-brown compared to darker brown on WSJA.
