Observation details

740am. Bird showed well in low morning sun. Larger than eared grebe. Shorter, thicker neck than western grebe. Long yellow bill. Basic plumage. Photos of left, right, front and back side. Edana let me have an extra close up look viewing it through a scope. One of 75 life birds this year. Thankful to finish North America grebe Podicipedidae. Looking forward to 2026. Thanks to all the birders for your help. Appreciated.
