Observation details
Good views feeding on the weir on the outgoing tide. Small teetering sandpiper with dull yellow legs, hooked white encircling curve of wing, eyering, shortish straight bill and distinct flight with stiff-winged flickering wing beats. A vagrant in NZ, has been reported at this location for probably three weeks or so.
