Observation details
* Nice find by Linda and Steve Sargent. We had comically good luck seeing this bird. It was a very full family day and we were running out to lunch. Becky suggested we drive Ocean View on the way, but everyone was also very hungry. As we approached where this bird had been reported, I had decided not to even request a quick stop. But then there was Mark Chappell photographing a bird right at the side of the road, and with parking right there. What else could we do? We hopped out, snapped some photos, watched it hop around on the grass and rocks, and headed to Alvarado Street. My latest in Monterey - actually my first outside of September.
