Observation details
Bizarrely, the host of the place I'm staying at came walking up the driveway holding this bird. My spanish is very lacking but I believe the bird was on the ground and he dazzled it with his torch and picked it up while it was stunned to show me because he knows I like birds. Subsequently released the bird and it seemed a bit dazed but otherwise okay.
