Observation details

Two separate groups were seen in the same snow covered field as previously reported. The first group of 10 partridges foraging out in the open flew back into the cover of the wetland area. Unaware that they were there, a second group of 14 birds moments later took off from the shelter of some trees nearest the path over to the same wetland. I initially thought that they were the same birds but as they obviously sensed my presence, I judged them to be two different groups. The first group would not have flown that close to me after they had retreated to the wetland soon after I arrived
