Apparent Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Rattlesnake Springs, NM
Observation details
Appeared to lack red nape in the field. Photos corroborate that impression, but something looks slightly off for Yellow-bellied. Not at Rattlesnake Spring itself, but on Washington Ranch Rd where it dips steeply through the dry wash just before the turn for the picnic area.
