Observation details
cool!!! see habitat pics for location info, pretty dense woods here and a random but lucky sighting. heard calls first, dry tack calls, thought some kind of flowerpecker first but sounded dry and not as metallic, wasnt even sure if it i was a bird because saw a pallas's squirrel earlier mightve been some kind some squirrel call, until the call moved rapidly over the path from my west to my east on the uphill side of path, took about 30 sec for me to notice some movement in mid canopy on the hill and saw the back of some kind of flycatcher, thought this species first becauase brown breasted is less common, then saw the front profile with some orange on the breast, 结合 verifying calls of this species its hainan blue for sure, because otherwise visually the views were very poor. doc shots as well. count is 2 because i heard another one calling to my west after the photoed one flew to my east.
