Observation details

Bird most likely came off the mudflat as it was only 20-30 feet off the ground. I heard two distinct flight call notes as the bird headed south past me. White in the inner wing of the mostly brownish bird was clearly seen. I was sitting at the point across from the shorebird area of Cofer. I have been putting the Merlin app on when I have been arriving prior to sunrise with the hope of picking up a shorebird call on the flat. After the SB flew off I looked down and there was SB. I rewound the recording to the SB and there were the two call notes. Pretty wild.
