Observation details

Rare* Larger gull than the Ring Bills, similar in size to the Herring gulls. Darker slate colored mantle with yellow legs and bill with red spot on lower culmen. Streaking on head. Hanging out on rock beyond the spit. Found by Chapin Czarnecki: continuing, photos.
