Observation details

We first heard something that sounded like a small dog barking— or possibly people imitating a dog bark. We then realized that a big flock of large white geese were flying overhead, heading generally eastward. The call was not brassy or honking at all, which is why we didn’t even realize it was coming from birds at first. It was not a call I have ever heard in Portage.
