Observation details

10 closest to observation deck all seemed to be tundra. They appeared to be the same size and most with visible white patch on bill, gently sloping foreheads, U-shaped (rather than V-shaped as for TRUS) black line on forehead when viewed head-on. This is visible in the photos. although not all 10 individuals were photographed, we did not see any that appeared to deviate from this pattern, and none of the 10 appeared larger than the others. They were swimming to and from with heads up quite a bit, so we could compare sizes. One or two that seemed larger when “seated” with head curled back and down, actually appeared as small as the others when they started swimming.
