Observation details
highest single count (though likely an underrepresentation of this species' presence today) and species of focus today *aside from the phalarope of course* , initially had 2 on the first flat on the south end, then 5 on the next flat over, then 15 together a little further north. many flybys as well, calling and showing white rump. larger and chunkier than nearby semis, longer winged and densely marked on the breast with prominent white eyebrow, and typically a little deeper in the water than the semis who were tending to the waters edge and mud. tiny metallic calls actual count probably closer to 30
