Observation details

While I was looking at the birds in the parking area, I heard the bugling of the Sandhill Cranes as they were flying over the refuge from the New Jersey portion and counted 12 as they past overhead heading out towards the sod farms in Pine Island. This is a personal high count for this species for Orange County , NY.
