Observation details
Continuing since found in September (?) by Steve Tucker. Today roosting with large flock of semipalmated plovers, snowy plovers, least sandpipers, and sanderlings on the beach about 500m north of the jetty. Identified by slightly larger size than semipalmated, black bill (tiny patch of orange at base of lower mandible), complete lack of yellow or orange color in orbital ring, and dark lores to gape. Very confiding and approachable, for once.
