Observation details

RARE in winter. Wendy Doncaster, my sister, first spotted this bird flushing from the spring pool to the east of the outdoor swimming pool area at Trapp Family Lodge. This is along a skiing trail in the lower meadow. I relocated this bird a couple of hours later as it was hunkered down in the narrow spring creek flowing down-slope from the spring pool.
