Observation details

*Rare; finally located at the last minute after fairly exhaustive search. First seen at distance perched on the rail next to Patagonia Marina, and while we watched, it flew down towards the ducks and coots, plucked a tilapia from the shallow water near the boat launch (!) and carried it off into nearby trees. We later got great views of it perched on a high cottonwood nearby, and found a black hawk primary on the ground not far away.
