Aberrant female Mallard circled, half green head, dark body, and female bill with typical male Mallard and female (obscured).
Observation details
Exact count. Observed one "odd looking male" superficially appearing to be a MALL hybrid, but is actually a hormonally challenged female evidenced by her typical orange and black female MALL bill (not a yellow-green male bill). Previously observed another such female MALL very much like this one years ago at Kasilof River.
