Observation details

I initially believed that the loon in the images was a Pacific Loon. However, e-bird caught the submission as a Red-throated Loon. I looked at the National Geographic field guide and saw that the Pacific Loon has a chinstrap and darker gray on the sides of the neck. The chinstrap and darker gray on the sides of the neck are not present in the images. I will go with a Red-throated Loon until someone says otherwise.
