Observation details

All the birds started out standing in an agricultural field. Then, they started taking off and eventually formed a kettle. All were large, long winged buteos. Both pale and dark morphs were present with many variations in colouring. All had yellow ceres, many had white throats and dark cowls, all had dark flight feathers and many had pale or even white feathers on the leading portion of the underwings (patagium).
