Observation details
Continuing bird originally found by Jeff Boyd on Tuesday. Medium-sized very thrush-like warbler with orange black-edged crown, olive green back, white undertail, and streaky chest. After about an hour of searching, a coyote passed through the area and as it was leaving the Ovenbird perched out in the open about halfway up a large toyon at (33.8064191, -118.2045319), providing about a minute of fantastic clear views. Quite vocal, calling, although I hadn’t heard it for the previous hour - apparently it had also been vocal shortly before I arrived. Photos
