Observation details
It was sparring with a croaking raven. It made screechy type calls that I was not able to record, and both birds were very high and very distant and moved over the Buffalo river towards the outer harbor. My gut says short, eared owl, and several people thought the same. Others thought perhaps a Cooper’s Hawk or a great horned owl or a northern Harrier.. posted on raptor ID FOR FUN
