Walked around base of 3-trunk pepper tree. Olive-brown back and wings.
Observation details
Continuing warbler originally found by Jeff Boyd. When I arrived, birders stood near the sunflowers (33.8064355, -118.2043203) where they had tracked the bird. Eventually, I glimpsed the Ovenbird pigeon-walking with her/his back towards me under the sunflower area. I saw the olive back and dark crown stripes (not able to make out orange color in shade). Flew to toyon area on river side of fence. In time, the bird foraged out in the open in a green weed clump low on the slope with munias and a Lincoln. Later, returned to street side. Foraged in the greenbelt north of 27th under wild roses, the 3-trunk pepper tree and north to the concrete picnic table. Warbler with white eyerings, whitish underparts and undertail coverts (tail cocked while walking). Brown malar and streaks on chest, sides and flanks. Orange median crown stripe bordered in black and pink legs. Last saw Ovenbird at the original sunflower area before I left.
