Observation details
Found by Mrs. Amy Myers. A rare visitor to the East and Atlantic Coast. All white with black primary wing feathers. Round head with short neck and pink bill. The legs are orange. The neck of the Ross' Goose is much shorter than that of the Canada Goose, and the Canada Goose weighs 3.5 times more than the Ross' Goose. The Ross' Goose is very similar in plumage to the Snow Goose. It differs from the Snow Goose by the following: The ROGO is smaller in size; smaller rounder head; bill has less of the black grin patch; shorter neck; where the bill meets the face has a straight border. They should be distinguished by those features on the head.
