Observation details

First cycle bird first seen on the lock above the dam. Large gull dwarfed nearby AHGU. Golden edges on scapulars, large bold patterns on the scapulars and coverts, dull pink legs, blocky head, huge black bill, and just general size all pointed to this bird being a GBBG. Poor digiscopes taken.
