525 approx in this photo. This was a section of the flock that extended across the sky.
Observation details
A huge flock passed over from Combe direction northwards. There was shooting taking place in the wood and so I assume this disturbed them all. Quite where they had all been I'm not sure. I couldn't get the whole flock in a single frame for photos but a rough count from the images would be at least 1000 birds.
